Uptown Dallas Inc. (UDI), the Uptown districts public improvement organization held Uptown’s Annual Meeting at the Canopy Hilton Hotel located on Cityplace West Blvd. The organization’s Executive Director, Kathy Stewart opened the meeting and additional comments were delivered by Chairman of the Board, Kevin Hickman. UDI’s guest speaker of the evening was DPD’s Commander Deputy Chief Israel Herrera.
Highlights from the evening included an impromptu greeting from the new Councilmember-Elect Paul Ridley, a progress update on incoming new developments/re-developments, and the organizations new project efforts which includes the highly anticipated two-way conversion of McKinney and Cole Avenues.

Uptown Dallas Inc. launched the event with a promotional video where local businesses are welcoming back guests. The video featured Uptown eateries like San Martin Bakery, Las Palmas, and The Rustica- and local retail stores The Plant Project and the Blue Print. After a year of unprecedented times as the world recovers from the Covid-19 pandemic, local businesses are back in business and Uptown Dallas Inc. and staff are encouraging the community and visitors to come enjoy and explore Uptown.
